The Multicultural Association of Southern Oregon  serves as a catalyst in the community to promote understanding and appreciation between cultures. We work to: The Multicultural Association of Southern Oregon is a 501(C3) nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors that reflects the diversity of our community.

Much of the energy of our organization is focused on our multicultural
Youth Adventures. These programs include a summer day camp we organize in cooperation with Kids Unlimited in Medford; an overnight camp co-sponsored by the  Southern Oregon Indian Center; and the World Quest competition.

T
hirteen years ago we organized the first annual Multicultural Fair in Medford. The September fair features music, dance, food and informational booths. The fair is now organized by the Friends of the Multicultural Fair and the City of Medford Multicultural Commission.

KSKQThe Multicultural Association is the licensee for KSKQ Radio a community station that will soon be broadcasting from Ashland, Oregon and is now streaming on the internet.

The Multicultural Association is part of the  task force that organizes  the
Martin Luther King Day Celebration in January.

The association serves as the financial sponsor for Dude, Disabled United in Direct Empowerment, a disability advocacy group;  the Southern Oregon Asian Cultural Association, a new group whose first
project is organizing the 2006 Chinese New Year's Celebration;  and Ballet Folklorico, a traditional Mexican folk dance group and the Long Way Home project in Guatemala.

A Multitude of Thanks to our Supporters!

Our  good work would not be possible without the support of the Carpenter Foundation, Anna May Family Foundation, Ashland Food Cooperative, Junior League of Jackson County, Soroptomist International of Medford, Central Point Rotary, the Meyer Memorial Trust, Juan Young Foundation and dozens of committed volunteers and individual donors.
